What is 2G?
Sampler to create early 2000 Neural Synthesis
2G is a tiny sampler instrument inspired by early-2000s mobile phones. Describe the sound in your head and Neural Synthesis generates it; then edit the sample and play it from your computer keyboard, or load your own audio instead.
The instrument's character comes from its limits: a low sample rate, a small speaker model that compresses and rings, and only four voices. Loop analysis finds clean loop points, root note analysis corrects fine-tuning on playback, and Attack, Release, Brightness, Detune, Noise, Quality and Formant controls shape the sound. Imported samples in WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3 play through the same retro character without using credits.
2G is free for Windows and macOS as a plugin or standalone app, with 20 generation credits per month; Studio at $10 per month adds 200 credits per month and a 7-day trial.

2G Key Features
Neural Synthesis
Describe the sound in your head and 2G generates it with AI, ready to edit and play from your keyboard.
Loop analysis
Compares timbre, volume and vibrato to find clean loop points and smooths transitions with crossfade.
Root note analysis
Detects the consistent pitch of a sample and corrects fine-tuning on playback, or marks it Unpitched.
Small speaker simulation
Models the narrow range, resonances and compression of early-2000s phone speakers, with a bypass switch.
Own samples
Import your own WAV, AIFF, FLAC or MP3 files and play them through the same retro character, with zero credits.

Common questions
2G FAQs
What is Neural Synthesis in 2G?
The section that generates audio from your text descriptions. The generated audio can then be edited and played as a sample inside 2G.
Can I use 2G without generating sounds?
Yes. You can import, edit and play your own audio files; those operations use zero credits and need no Studio subscription.
Which audio formats can I import?
WAV, AIFF, FLAC and MP3 up to 20 MB and 10 seconds; your original file stays untouched.
Do I need internet to use 2G?
Only for Neural Synthesis and credit checks. Local samples can be played and edited fully offline.
Can I use generated sounds in my music?
Yes. Generated sounds are royalty-free for personal and commercial music, just not resold as standalone samples or libraries.
