What is Codync?
The open-source, 1:1 alternative to Grok Bot and Muse.
Codync is the open-source, MIT-licensed alternative to Grok Bot, Muse, and Dots. Run your own coding agents — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, or 40+ supported agents — as named bots on your own computer, then message them, monitor live sessions, and approve their work from your iPhone, Mac, Linux, or terminal.
One workspace aggregates sessions across machines with live session views and boards for organizing coding agents. Devices pair with a one-tap QR code and talk over end-to-end encrypted channels through a relay server (no ports to open), and everything works fully offline locally. Native apps ship per platform (SwiftUI on iPhone/Mac, GTK 4 on Linux, terminal UI with a Rust host daemon), with webhooks and background sessions for automation, plus built-in usage-limit tracking for Claude and Codex.
It is 100% free with no subscription: agents run on your own hardware, not a cloud service. The project also runs www.codync.dev as its website.
