Overview

What is Framefields?

Open-source code-first video for AGI era

Framefields is an open-source, code-first video engine: a TypeScript npm package that renders video on the GPU, frame by frame, straight to MP4. A video is a Composition — a tree of layers with keyframed animation — rendered natively on WebGPU (Dawn to Metal/Vulkan) in Node.js.

Built to be driven by coding agents and engineers, it replaces bulky creative suites with a single package: motion graphics, Photoshop-grade VFX, 3D scenes, and audio DSP, with zero Chromium or browser overhead. Install it as a skill in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Gemini CLI and ask your agent for a video.

Framefields is open source under Apache-2.0, made by Gatewai, and free to use.
