Turns your Mac's notch into a Dynamic Island: notifications, hold-Fn dictation, AI agent watcher, music, calls, and monitor brightness. $9.99 once.
Halo 2.0 — Dynamic Island for Mac, open in the notch
Overview
What is Halo?
A living island for every Mac screen.
Halo turns your Mac's notch into a Dynamic Island - and it works even on Macs without a notch. Messages from any app appear in the notch, dictation types anywhere when you hold Fn, and a little face follows your cursor and watches your AI agents.
It also handles music and calls, plus internal and external monitor brightness, from the island. The island hides itself in fullscreen video and games and stays out of the menu bar's way.
Halo costs $9.99 once - not a subscription - with a free 3-day trial, no account and no card. One license key works on up to 3 Macs. It needs macOS 15 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel. Note: it is not notarized by Apple yet, so the first launch needs a one-time 'Open Anyway' in System Settings.

Halo Key Features
Notch notifications
Messages from any app appear in the notch; while Halo shows a banner, the usual macOS banner steps aside and stays in Notification Center afterwards.
Dictation anywhere
Hold Fn to dictate into any app. Free via Apple's on-device speech recognition, or Whisper with your own Groq key that Halo never sees outside your Keychain.
AI agent watcher
A little face follows your cursor and watches your AI agents. It reads Claude Code rate limits and Codex session logs locally; nothing goes over the network.
Music, calls, and brightness
Now playing, call controls, and internal plus external monitor brightness, all from the island.
Works without a notch
The full Dynamic Island experience even on notch-less Macs. The island hides in fullscreen video and games and stays out of the menu bar's way.
