ilse is a free, local toolbar for refining a React app that is already running, with the coding agent you already use. Run one command in your project folder and a toolbar sits on top of your app in the browser: click an element and say what should change, drag to reorder, resize, or tweak spacing and colors with your own design tokens. Simple tweaks land instantly with few or zero tokens; the rest goes to your agent — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, Gemini CLI, or any agent that speaks MCP — pointed at the right file and line.
ilse is not a generator: it does not create apps from scratch. It is for when the code already exists and lives on your machine. It works with React apps on Next.js, Vite, Remix, Astro and CRA, and it never touches an API key or sends your code to a server.
