What is LurkAPI?

LurkAPI is a social media data API. Send one GET request with query parameters and get clean JSON back from public pages on 16 platforms: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Telegram, Snapchat, Truth Social, Google, eBay, Linktree and any web page.

Speed and price
The API does the minimum on each request: check the key, fetch, answer. It averages about a second. Most calls cost 1 credit, and packs run from $9 for 10,000 credits to $225 for 500,000. Credits never expire, and there is no subscription. Calls that fail before reaching the platform, rate-limited calls and 5xx errors are free.

Add https://api.lurkapi.com/mcp to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client and sign in through the browser. Every endpoint becomes a tool your AI can call, charged the same as the API.
What do failed calls cost?
Nothing, if the call failed before reaching the platform (bad parameters, key or balance problems, rate limits) or on our side (5xx). A not_found is charged, because the platform was checked.
Is it legal to use?
LurkAPI returns publicly available data only. It never logs in to anyone's account and can't see private profiles or messages. You're responsible for how you use the data, including the privacy laws that apply to you.
