1 / 2Overview
What is OpenMuse?
Opensource, self hostable personal assistant for any harness
OpenMuse is an open-source, self-hostable personal AI assistant that works with any agent harness. It gives your agent a real computer: a persistent Chromium browser profile plus an optional Linux terminal with Playwright MCP, running code in containerized workspaces. Work is persistent - built on AG-UI Streams, it continues after you close the app and is watchable in real time. It includes personal productivity tools such as chat, activity planning, ideas, goals tracking, docs, personal context, and Gmail & Calendar integrations. It is model-agnostic and works with CopilotKit, OpenAI AgentKit and Anthropic's cookbook. Getting started takes five commands with no model key, no Docker and no subscription. It is MIT licensed and in alpha, aimed at self-hosting and further development.
