What is OpenSwarm?
Everyone gets a Jarvis now.
OpenSwarm is an AI-first desktop workspace where swarms of AI agents run the whole machine for you: apps build themselves, browsers drive themselves, and dozens of agents work in parallel on one shared canvas. Instead of doing one task at a time, you describe a goal and orchestrate a swarm that finishes it with you at the helm.
Each agent is a live card you can watch, message mid-task, or stop (which also stops its sub-agents). Risky or outward-facing actions — sending email, running sensitive commands — wait for your approval, and tool access can be set to Ask, Allow, or Never per connected app. Agents keep getting better: every completed session captures what worked and what failed.
OpenSwarm is currently in private beta and free to join via the waitlist. You can connect an existing Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini subscription, or bring your own API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, or custom endpoints). Desktop app for macOS and Windows.

OpenSwarm Key Features
Parallel browsing agents
One prompt can open multiple browser windows that each perform independent research simultaneously.
Apps created on request
Agents build custom tools on demand when you describe what is missing.
Swarm problem-solving
A Problem Validator agent delegates independent sub-tasks to separate agents, one per source.
Agent marketplace
Ready-made agents such as Lead Finder, Problem Validator, Post Harvester, and Social Footprint Finder.
Self-improving agents

Common questions
OpenSwarm FAQs
Is OpenSwarm a standalone OS or does it run on my current OS?
It is a desktop app that runs on top of your existing OS — macOS and Windows today, with no Linux build yet — not a bare-metal operating system.
Do I need to bring my own AI model or API keys?
You can sign in with a Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini subscription, or add your own API keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, or a custom endpoint.
How do I see what each agent in a swarm is doing?
Each agent appears as a live card on the canvas. You can watch it work, send it a message mid-task, or stop it — stopping an agent also stops its sub-agents.
What kinds of tasks work best with a swarm?
Work that splits into independent pieces — researching many companies in parallel, building an app with one agent per component. Strictly sequential step-by-step work is better left to a single agent.
How much control do I keep when many agents work at once?
All of it. Risky or outward-facing actions such as sending email or running sensitive commands wait for your approval, and you can set each connected app's tool access to Ask, Allow, or Never.
