Overview
What is Swim Converter?
Free swim time calculator using published NCAA conversion factors
Swim Converter is a free online swim time calculator for swimmers, coaches, and parents comparing supported events across pool courses. Enter a swimming time, choose a stroke and distance, select the applicable NCAA table, and choose the source and target course. The result includes the applied conversion factor and route.
The calculator uses published NCAA factors for supported metric-to-SCY conversions. SCY-to-meter estimates use the reciprocal as a convenience, not a separately published NCAA table. Direct SCM-to-LCM conversion is intentionally not offered. Some freestyle pairs use different metric and yard event distances. Results truncate below one hundredth of a second rather than rounding.
The site includes SCY, SCM, and LCM course explanations, factor tables, worked examples, and FAQs. No account is required. Converted times are estimates, not certification of qualifying standards or meet entries. Meet organizers decide which conversions they accept.
