What is AskMyPages?
A WordPress plugin (plus hosted service) from Hook & Plug that adds semantic AI search and a chat assistant to your site. It answers visitor questions from your own pages and text PDFs, citing each sentence's source.
Will the AI make up answers?
No. It only answers from passages retrieved from your site, and says so clearly when your content does not cover the question. The model has no internet access and no access to other customers' data.
Is my site content used to train AI models?
No. Neither Hook & Plug nor OpenAI uses your site content or visitor questions to train models. Only page titles/bodies, selected PDF text, and the visitor's question leave your site.
What does the free plan include?
One site, 500 indexed items, 1,000 searches and 100 AI answers per month, covering posts, pages and text PDFs, with no credit card required.
What happens if I cancel or disconnect?
Disconnecting the plugin revokes its keys and deletes the server-side index, so no data remains. If the service ever goes down, your search box falls back to native WordPress search automatically.
