As a student, I'm always buying secondhand textbooks and borrowing novels, and half the time I just need to confirm I'm getting the right edition. ISBNLookup.org makes that easy. You type in the ISBN (it accepts both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13) and it pulls up the cover, author, publisher, page count, and other details in one place. The barcode scanner is my favorite part. I can point my phone camera at the back of a book and get its details without typing 13 digits. It works in the browser, so there's nothing to install.
