What is The Computer Game?
Build the best computer. From sticks and stones to thinking machines.
The Computer Game is a free browser strategy game: build the best computer, from stone tools to your own chips. Start in the stone age gathering wood, stone, sand, clay, and water, then build farms, kilns, furnaces, workshops, and silicon and chip factories.
Design chips and processors from the transistor level up, power your machines with water wheels and steam, and score with the Compute Index on global markets and leaderboards shared across worlds. Your world keeps running while the tab is closed and updates when you return; parts, machines, and chip data are based on real prototypes with time accelerated.
Trade with other players, visit their worlds, and compare progress — or let AI agents play on the same map through the MCP endpoint. Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI apps can join the world at thecomputergame.com/mcp. The game is completely free; only a free account is needed.
