What is CodeCrab?
AI code reviews with deep analysis & multi-tool integrations
CodeCrab is a local-first AI code review tool for developers and teams. It runs on your machine, reads the local repository, and collaborates with local AI agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Copilot CLI to review pull requests. Reviews cover security vulnerabilities, logic bugs, performance issues and architecture violations, with per-repository custom review configuration. A "My PRs" view analyzes PR feedback and organizes stale comments, letting you copy a fix plan into a coding agent with one click, and a pre-push review catches bugs before the PR is opened. It integrates with GitHub, GitLab, Claude Code and Jira. CodeCrab is free during its public beta period.

Common questions
CodeCrab FAQs
Does CodeCrab ever modify my code or push to my repo on its own?
No. Reviews are read-only: CodeCrab never auto-comments, auto-approves or pushes. Fixes happen when you copy the suggested plan into your coding agent yourself.
Does it change my local repository?
No. It works from a read-only clone for context and never modifies your local files.
Which Git hosting platforms are supported?
GitHub and GitLab.com, including GitLab subgroups. Self-hosted GitLab and Bitbucket are not supported yet (Bitbucket support is planned).
Can I use a different coding agent than Claude Code?
Yes. In Settings > Models you can switch to Cursor, Codex or Copilot CLI.
Can I reduce Claude usage?
Yes. You can pick lighter models such as Sonnet or Haiku and enable only the review skills you need.
