Open-source personal agent
1 / 2Overview
What is Xiryn?
The open-source personal agent that runs on your computer
Xiryn is a free, open-source personal AI agent that runs on your own computer. Each agent gets its own Linux desktop in Docker, so it browses the web, researches, writes and runs code, fills forms and pays with your approval - all in the background, without touching your files, mouse or screen. There is no account and no telemetry: conversations, memory, settings and keys live in one SQLite file on your disk, and cards and logins sit in an encrypted vault the agent never sees. It works with any model provider, or with a local model via Ollama or LM Studio. Control it from anywhere through Telegram, approve payments with one tap, or take over an agent's screen from your phone. Setup is one command, and squads let agents hand work to each other.

Common questions
Xiryn FAQs
What is Xiryn?
A free, open-source personal AI agent that runs on your own computer. It browses, researches, writes and runs code, fills forms and pays with your approval, with each agent working on its own Linux desktop in Docker.
Is Xiryn really free?
Yes. It is open source under the MIT license. You pay your model provider directly for what you use, or run a local model with Ollama or LM Studio and pay nothing.
What do I need to run it?
A Mac, Windows or Linux computer with about 4 GB of free disk and an API key for at least one model provider. Setup installs Git, Node.js and Docker if they are missing.
Will it touch my files or take over my screen?
Never. Each agent works on its own Linux desktop in a Docker container, separate from your files, mouse and screen. You can watch it live and take over whenever you want.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere you did not choose. Conversations, memory, settings and keys live in one SQLite file on your disk. The only calls that leave are the ones you configure.
